The beach of Sansone on the Island of Elba has been awarded several times internationally (Travelers' Choice 2020): it is a corner of paradise of smooth and white pebbles, with a white rock wall behind it, characteristic of this stretch of coast, partly covered by the Mediterranean scrub, a fairytale sea, with bright colors, which change from turquoise and slowly turn into an intense blue.

Place the towel in the free part or rent an umbrella at the bathhouse equipped with a small bar and don't forget to take photos that will make all friends and relatives envy when you return home.

The beach is divided into two parts by the white rock: on the right there is a rock a few meters from the shore, ideal for sunbathing and snorkeling around; on the left a large stack, a destination for swimmers and hikers in canoes or kayaks, or for some families on pedal boats.

The best days to go to Sansone and enjoy all its splendor are those of scirocco wind: the sea becomes a canvas painted with oil colors, the backdrop will become visible to the naked eye.

How to reach the beach of Sansone
Located 4km from the center of Portoferraio on the northern coast of Elba, to reach it take the Portoferraio - Enfola provincial road and after about 4 km, on the right, you will find the indication for the beach of Sansone. From there a pedestrian path starts that with a walk of about 10/15 minutes reaches the beach (it is advisable to wear closed shoes, the path is not suitable for strollers).

It is possible to leave the car in the paid parking lot or, being careful not to invade the roadway, park along the provincial road. In addition, during the summer a tourist bus allows you to reach the beach of Sansone.
